Errington Primary is in the top 4% of the country for Phonics

Errington Primary School, Part of Tees Valley Collaborative Trust (TVCT) has received a letter from the Schools Minister, Damian Hinds congratulating them on their outstanding achievement in the 2023 Phonics Screening Check.

They have congratulated Sarah Rule Head Teacher and are delighted with the school’s results, which sees them in the top 4% of all primary schools in the country.

96% of pupils in year 1 at Errington Primary school have met or exceeded the expected standard.

Literacy has been a key focus at Errington, and clearly the approach the school has taken, has without a doubt contributed to this outstanding accomplishment”
